New Year Run 2011
We all met in the usual place for that side of town, and then proceeded to head toward Marysville. Driving through Healsville a few wanted to stop as the market was on at the race course, which was huge. If we had have stopped, I don't think we would have got any further down the road.
Perfect weather, beautiful countryside and scenery, we wound our way through the Black Spur, which all cars made it through with relative ease. We couldn't believe that still after two years, coming into Marysville was a bit of a shock. Still lots of vacant blocks with caravans or sheds still on them from the fires of Black Saturday.
A yummo pie and a drink at the bakery, and a walk through the town made it a very relaxing way to spend the day.
Finally up the road we ended up at the Buxton Pub, where one or two frothies and bevvies were had.
Late in the arvo, we decided to part ways and head home.
A great way to kick off the New Year.
