Lions Pride Holden Car Club Inc.
Black Saturday Memorial Cruise 2012
What a day !!!!!
The club was well represented in this cruise organized to remember the tragedy of the Black Saturday Bushfires. The organizers wanted to raise some money for the local Fire Brigade, and was hoping they would get between 40 – 50 cars. What they got was in excess of 400 vehicles of all shapes and models, I think that they were quite overwhelmed.
We started off in Lillydale, and wound our way through the hills that were affected by the fires, and ended up in Healesville at the Railway Precinct.
It was an emotional day for everyone , on many different levels, but a good thing I think has been started from such a tragedy. It will become an annual event, and one worth attending.
